Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the AI in Education Knowledge Library (“we,” “us,” or “the Library”) handles information when you browse the site, create an account, or participate in discussions.

Information we collect

We ask for a birth date only to determine whether a person is eligible to register. The date itself is not sent to or retained in our database.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, operate discussions, moderate abuse, secure the service, respond to requests, and maintain the research directory. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and database services. Our hosting provider processes site requests and operational logs. jsDelivr delivers the Supabase browser library. These providers may process technical information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Public information

Display names, comments, and replies are public. Do not post private, student, health, financial, or other sensitive information.

Retention and deletion

Account information is retained while an account is active. Comments remain until removed by the author or a moderator, or until deletion is otherwise required. Provider security logs may follow provider retention schedules. To request account deletion, access, correction, or a copy of your information, email tenpoundsofice@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity.

Children

Accounts and commenting are not intended for children under 13. Public research content may be read without an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will remove the account and associated personal information as appropriate.

Security and international processing

We use authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, and database policies, but no online service can promise absolute security. Providers may process information in locations different from yours.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the effective date. Questions may be sent to tenpoundsofice@gmail.com.

By creating an account or using interactive features, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for accurate registration information, maintaining password security, and activity performed through your account.

Acceptable use

You may not harass others; publish threats, hate speech, explicit material, spam, malware, impersonation, private information, or unlawful content; evade moderation; or interfere with the service. The Community Guidelines are part of these Terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of comments you create. By posting, you grant the Library a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and moderate that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You represent that you have the right to submit it.

Moderation and termination

We may review, refuse, remove, or preserve content and may suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement. Moderation tools are imperfect and do not imply endorsement of user content.

The Library provides informational and educational summaries, not legal, medical, academic, or professional advice. Verify claims using the linked original sources. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, availability, or suitability.

Copyright and corrections

To report infringement, inaccurate attribution, or a profile concern, contact tenpoundsofice@gmail.com with the relevant URL, description, and supporting information.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” and may change or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the Library is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will revise the effective date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Moderation

Automated language checks assist moderation but are not final judgments. Content may be removed and accounts restricted based on context, severity, and repeated behavior. Report concerns using the report option or email tenpoundsofice@gmail.com.

Accessibility Statement

We aim to make the AI in Education Knowledge Library usable by people with disabilities and to improve toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

The site supports keyboard navigation, visible focus states, labeled form fields, semantic controls, responsive layouts, and text alternatives where applicable. Accessibility work is ongoing.
